Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely minced
- 1 medium tomato, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 large flour tortillas or thin flatbreads
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and place a baking tray inside to heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, diced tomato, tomato paste, parsley, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Carefully remove the hot baking tray from the oven and place the flatbreads on it.
- Spread a thin, even layer of the meat mixture over each flatbread, pressing gently so it adheres.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are lightly crisp and the meat is fully cooked.
- Remove from the oven and let rest briefly before slicing.
- Serve warm, sliced or rolled as desired.
Notes
- Spread the topping very thinly to prevent sogginess.
- Preheating the tray helps create a crisp base.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon before serving for extra brightness.
