Ingredients
- Flank steak (1 pound, thinly sliced)
- Fresh green beans (12 ounces, trimmed)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Soy sauce (¼ cup)
- Water (¼ cup)
- Brown sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Add vegetable oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat.
- Add the sliced flank steak and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add green beans and minced garlic to the same pan and stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the beans are crisp tender.
- Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Serve hot immediately.
