This Aperol Spritz Cranberry Sauce is tart, citrusy, and just a little bit boozy—like your favorite cocktail turned into a dazzling holiday side.

- 12 oz Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
- 1/2 cup Aperol
- 1/2 cup Prosecco or Sparkling Wine
- 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Orange Zest
- Pinch of Salt
- Optional: Splash of Vanilla Extract, 1 Cinnamon Stick or Star Anise
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine Aperol, Prosecco, orange juice, and sugar over medium heat. Stir to dissolve.
- Add cranberries and a pinch of salt. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook 10–12 minutes, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat. Stir in orange zest and optional vanilla or spices.
- Cool before serving. Refrigerate up to 1 week.

- Simmering helps mellow the alcohol while preserving the flavor.
- Taste and adjust sugar depending on sweetness preference and tartness of cranberries.
- For a smoother sauce, mash with a spoon or blend lightly.
