- 1 large very ripe banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/2 cup cold brew or strong brewed coffee
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Ice cubes, as needed
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the mashed banana, brown sugar, water, and cinnamon. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and blend the mixture until smooth. Let it cool.
- Fill a tall glass with ice. Add 2–3 tablespoons of banana syrup, followed by the cold brew and then the milk.
- Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until thick but still pourable.
- Spoon the whipped cream over the drink and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
- Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor and sweetness.
- The banana syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup to taste.
