- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 2 cups sparkling water
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Lemon slices and basil sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place your serving glasses in the fridge to chill.
- In a large bowl or pitcher, add the mixed berries, basil leaves, lemon juice, and maple syrup.
- Gently mash the ingredients together using a muddler or wooden spoon until juicy and fragrant.
- Fill your serving glasses or pitcher with ice cubes.
- Pour the berry basil mixture over the ice, dividing evenly among glasses.
- Top each glass with sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon and a fresh basil sprig just before serving.
- Serve immediately and enjoy while cold and bubbly.
