This Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake combines rich, creamy cheesecake with silky pastry cream and a glossy dark chocolate ganache, all on a buttery graham cracker crust. It’s the ultimate fusion dessert that’s perfect for impressing guests or indulging on a cozy weekend.

Ingredients

  • Graham Cracker Crumbs: 1 1/2 cups
  • Unsalted Butter: 6 tablespoons (melted)
  • Cream Cheese: 3 (8-ounce) blocks
  • Granulated Sugar: 1 cup
  • Vanilla Extract: 2 teaspoons
  • Eggs: 3 large
  • Sour Cream: 1 cup
  • Whole Milk: 2 cups
  • Cornstarch: 1/4 cup
  • Egg Yolks: 4 large
  • Powdered Sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Dark Chocolate (chopped): 6 ounces
  • Heavy Cream: 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and wrap springform pan in foil for water bath.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press into pan. Bake 10 minutes. Beat cream cheese and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Pour cheesecake batter over crust. Place pan in larger pan and add water for bath.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Bake 55–65 minutes. Cool in oven for 1 hour, then refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Cook to Perfection: For pastry cream, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, and yolks. Cook until thickened. Stir in vanilla and strain. Chill completely.
  6. Finishing Touches: Spread pastry cream over cheesecake. Prepare ganache by heating cream and pouring over chocolate. Stir until smooth, then pour on top. Chill 1–2 hours.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Slice with warm knife and serve chilled.

Notes
