Golden and crispy on the outside, irresistibly gooey on the inside, these brie cheese balls are the ultimate indulgent snack or appetizer, perfect for any gathering or cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces Brie Cheese, cut into small chunks
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 large Eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- Vegetable Oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat your oil to 350°F in a deep frying pan or heavy-bottomed pot. Line a plate with paper towels.
- Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Roll small pieces of brie into balls. Coat each in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crunch.
- Place coated brie balls on a tray and freeze for at least 15 minutes.
- Gently lower frozen brie balls into hot oil. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Let cool slightly.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Double-coating with breadcrumbs ensures a crispy shell and prevents leaks.
- Freeze the cheese balls before frying to keep their shape intact.
- Serve with dips like cranberry sauce, garlic aioli, or spicy jam.
- To reheat leftovers, pop them in an oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
