Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and position the rack in the center.
  2. Lightly steam the broccoli until just tender, then set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  4. Place the pie crust into a 9 inch pie dish and press it gently into the edges.
  5. Spread the broccoli evenly over the crust, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the filling.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
