- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, and buttermilk.
- Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Pour filling into the pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until the center is set and a knife comes out clean.
- Cool completely before slicing. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
