Description

Creamy overnight oats layered with crisp apples and sweet caramel, topped with fun, crunchy toppings for a delicious make-ahead breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium apple, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, mini chocolate chips, crushed graham crackers, colorful candies

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, chia seeds, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  2. Divide diced apples evenly into two mason jars or containers.
  3. Spoon the oat mixture over the apples in each jar.
  4. Top with caramel sauce and any desired toppings.
  5. Seal jars and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours.
  6. Stir before serving. Enjoy cold or warm as desired.

Notes

  • Use a crisp apple variety like Honeycrisp or Fuji for best texture.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice to diced apples to prevent browning if prepping ahead.
  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based yogurt and milk.
  • Layer toppings just before serving to maintain texture.
