Description

Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a creamy, garlicky, and comforting dish featuring seared chicken, fettuccine pasta, and a rich parmesan cream sauce. It’s the perfect weeknight dinner that’s quick, easy, and full of bold flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and rest.
  3. In the same skillet, lower heat and add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated parmesan and whisk until smooth.
  5. Slice cooked chicken. Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss with sauce. Top with sliced chicken.
  6. If needed, use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic and parmesan for best flavor and texture.
  • Reserve pasta water to help adjust sauce consistency.
  • Add sautéed spinach or mushrooms for a twist.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
