- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, gently mix banana slices with vanilla extract.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut it into even squares.
- Place banana slices and chocolate chips in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Keep puff pastry cold before baking for best flakiness.
- Do not overfill to prevent chocolate from leaking out.
