Description

Flaky puff pastry filled with melted chocolate and soft banana slices, baked until golden and crisp for an easy, comforting dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, gently mix banana slices with vanilla extract.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut it into even squares.
  4. Place banana slices and chocolate chips in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Keep puff pastry cold before baking for best flakiness.
  • Do not overfill to prevent chocolate from leaking out.
  • Best enjoyed warm for gooey centers.
