Description

A moist, cinnamon-swirled loaf topped with a buttery streusel crumble. This Cinnamon Streusel Bread is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or sweet cravings any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 100 g (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • 120 g (1/2 cup) melted or softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter. Pour into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Mix 2 tbsp sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over the batter. Pour remaining batter on top.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine 100 g brown sugar, 50 g flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 45 g cold butter. Mix until crumbly and sprinkle on top of loaf.
  6. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter — mix until just combined for a soft crumb.
  • Chill streusel before adding to improve clumping and crunch.
  • Add a glaze after baking for an extra bakery-style finish.
  • Store leftovers wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
