Ingredients
- Sourdough Bread: 4 slices
- Brie Cheese: 4 ounces, sliced
- Mozzarella Cheese: 1/2 cup, shredded
- Cranberry Sauce: 1/4 cup
- Butter: 2 tablespoons, softened
- Fresh Thyme (optional): 1 teaspoon, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium-low heat.
- Combine Ingredients: Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Place 2 slices butter-side down in the skillet.
- Assemble the Dish: Layer Brie slices, sprinkle mozzarella, spoon cranberry sauce, and sprinkle thyme if using. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook to Perfection: Grill 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
- Finishing Touches: Remove from pan, let rest 1 minute, then slice diagonally.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm with soup, salad, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
- Use medium-low heat to avoid burning bread before cheese melts.
- Layer cheese on both sides of cranberry sauce to hold everything together.
- For crunch, add toasted nuts inside.
- Reheat leftovers in a skillet or toaster oven, not the microwave.
