Description

Flaky, buttery croissants filled with golden crispy halloumi, peppery greens, and sweet jam — this Crispy Halloumi Croissant is the ultimate savory-sweet brunch sandwich.


Ingredients

  • 6 oz halloumi cheese, sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
  • 2 large croissants, halved horizontally
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup arugula or baby spinach
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam or tomato jam
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Optional: sliced tomato or roasted red peppers


Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Pat halloumi slices dry and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  3. Lightly toast croissant halves in a toaster or pan.
  4. Spread fig jam on bottom halves of croissants.
  5. Add arugula, crispy halloumi, black pepper, and optional vegetables.
  6. Top with croissant lids and serve immediately.
