Description

Ultra crunchy homemade crispy rice crackers made from cooked rice, lightly seasoned and baked until golden. A simple, satisfying snack that turns leftovers into an addictive crunchy bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and cornstarch until evenly mixed.
  3. Transfer the rice mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spread the mixture into a thin, even layer and press it down firmly using a spatula.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, rotating the pan once, until the rice is deeply golden and crisp.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool completely so they fully crisp.
  7. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, spread the rice thinner rather than thicker.
  • Let the crackers cool completely before storing to maintain crispiness.
  • You can add spices or dried herbs right after baking while warm.
