Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix peaches with 3/4 cup sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
  3. Transfer peach mixture to baking dish.
  4. Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly, then stir in milk.
  5. Spoon topping over peaches.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
