Description

This Easy Stovetop Lasagna delivers all the comfort and flavor of traditional lasagna—without the oven. Made in one skillet with layers of meat sauce, pasta, and melty cheese, it’s a weeknight-friendly twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey: base of the savory sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil: for sautéing
  • 1 medium Onion: finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic: minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) Crushed Tomatoes: rich tomato base
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste: deepens flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning: herbaceous flavor
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt: enhances all elements
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper: adds subtle spice
  • 810 Lasagna Noodles: broken into pieces
  • 1.5 cups Water or Broth: to cook pasta
  • 3/4 cup Ricotta Cheese: creamy layer
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese: melted and stretchy
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese: nutty, salty topping
  • Fresh Basil or Parsley: garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in onion and garlic; cook until soft.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Break noodles and nestle into sauce. Add water or broth. Stir gently and cover.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Simmer for 15–18 minutes until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Finishing Touches: Add ricotta in dollops, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan. Cover to melt cheese.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with basil or parsley and serve hot with sides.

Notes

  • Note: Do not over-stir—let noodles nestle and cook undisturbed.
  • Note: For more depth, simmer sauce before adding pasta.
  • Note: Use a broiler briefly for bubbly, golden cheese (if skillet is oven-safe).
