- 1 large French bread loaf, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil leaves (optional), torn
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and Italian seasoning until combined.
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place on parchment or foil.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly on both bread halves. Add pizza sauce and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
- Transfer the bread to the preheated baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Add fresh basil if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
