These healthy Bounty bars are a guilt-free twist on the classic treat, combining shredded coconut and coconut cream with rich dark chocolate for a naturally sweet and satisfying dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (70% or higher)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and clear space in your fridge.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded coconut, coconut cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until sticky and well combined.
  3. Scoop the mixture and shape into bars using your hands. Place them on the prepared tray.
  4. Chill the bars in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, let excess drip off, and return to the tray.
  7. Optional: sprinkle sea salt on top. Chill until the chocolate sets.
  8. Store in the fridge and enjoy when ready.

Notes

  • Use unsweetened coconut to avoid extra sweetness.
  • Chill bars well before dipping for best results.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer for later.
  • Add toasted coconut on top for extra crunch.
