Description

A refreshing and tropical iced pineapple tea made with freshly brewed black tea, juicy pineapple juice, and a splash of lemon. Perfectly chilled and lightly sweetened, this vibrant drink is ideal for summer gatherings or everyday refreshment.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Fresh pineapple slices for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add the 3 black tea bags. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in 2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the brewed tea into a heatproof pitcher. Add 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple juice and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until completely chilled.
  6. Fill glasses with 2 cups ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  7. Garnish with fresh pineapple slices and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness gradually to taste before chilling.
  • Do not oversteep the tea to prevent bitterness.
  • Store in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a lighter version, use green tea instead of black tea.
