Description
Tender chicken breasts filled with crisp asparagus and gooey melted cheese, seasoned to perfection and seared to a golden finish. A delicious, wholesome main dish ready in 30 minutes.

- 4 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 12 thin asparagus spears, trimmed
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish if not using oven-safe skillet.
- In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- Prepare asparagus and cheese. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Butterfly each chicken breast, season inside, then layer with 3 asparagus spears and some cheese. Fold and secure with toothpicks. Season the outside.
- Sear each stuffed breast in the skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer to oven and bake for 15–18 minutes until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Sprinkle with lemon zest if using.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Pound chicken for even thickness and better stuffing.
- Use thin asparagus or blanch thicker spears before stuffing.
- Don’t overstuff to prevent leaks during cooking.
- Let chicken rest before slicing to retain juices.
