- 500g Ground Beef
- 1 large Onion, finely grated
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 3 large Potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to combine well.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of the baking dish and layer half of the potato slices on top.
- Assemble the Dish: Shape the kofta into oval patties and arrange over the potatoes. Add remaining potato slices and pour the rest of the sauce. Add water and drizzle olive oil on top.
- Cook to Perfection: Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes more until potatoes are soft and slightly golden.
- Finishing Touches: Let rest for 5–10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with bread, rice, or salad.
