Description

This fizzy lemon cream soda blends fresh lemon juice, creamy vanilla, and bubbly soda water into a nostalgic, refreshing drink perfect for any warm day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups cold soda water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Lemon slices or twists (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool.
  2. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a clean container. Chill in the refrigerator.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice. Add 2 tablespoons of the chilled lemon syrup.
  4. Slowly pour in 1 cup of soda water, then add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.
  5. Stir gently to combine without flattening the fizz.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a lemon twist if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Chill all components before assembling to keep the drink fizzy and cold.
  • Make the lemon syrup in advance and store in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup to taste.
