- 1½ pounds ground beef (80–85% lean)
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- ½ cup pepperoni slices (optional)
- 1 cup marinara sauce (warmed)
- 6 burger buns (toasted)
- 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for toasting buns)
Instructions
- Preheat skillet over medium heat. Toast buns in a toaster or oven until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form into 6 equal patties. Lightly grease skillet or grill pan.
- Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Top each with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni slices if using.
- Cover skillet or broil for 2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Butter buns if desired, then place patties on bottom bun and top with other half.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
