Description

A creamy, comforting one-pot pasta packed with savory ground beef, cheddar cheese, and classic cheeseburger flavors. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 250 g elbow macaroni
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add diced onion and cook for about 3 minutes until softened, then stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the pasta, beef broth, milk, tomato paste, salt, and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta becomes tender.
  5. Reduce heat slightly and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and creamy.
  6. Allow the pasta to sit for a couple minutes so the sauce thickens, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Freshly shredded cheese melts smoother and improves texture.
  • Add a splash of milk when reheating leftovers to restore creaminess.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
