Description
A creamy, comforting one-pot pasta packed with savory ground beef, cheddar cheese, and classic cheeseburger flavors. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 450 g ground beef
- 250 g elbow macaroni
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onion and cook for about 3 minutes until softened, then stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the pasta, beef broth, milk, tomato paste, salt, and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta becomes tender.
- Reduce heat slightly and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and creamy.
- Allow the pasta to sit for a couple minutes so the sauce thickens, then serve warm.
Notes
- Freshly shredded cheese melts smoother and improves texture.
- Add a splash of milk when reheating leftovers to restore creaminess.
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
