Ingredients

  • 250 grams pasta
  • 3 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme


Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook slowly until caramelized.
  3. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Pour in broth and add pasta.
  5. Simmer until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in cream and cheese until smooth.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with thyme, and serve.
