Description

A bold and refreshing drink made with fresh lemon juice, sugar, and dill pickle brine. This sweet-tart-salty combo is the ultimate summer thirst-quencher and a surprisingly addictive twist on classic lemonade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup fresh lemon juice (from 45 lemons)
  • 3½ cups cold water
  • ½ cup dill pickle brine
  • to ½ cup sugar (to taste)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Dill pickle spears, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Juice lemons and strain out seeds to get about ¾ cup juice.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, water, sugar, and pickle brine. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or brine as needed.
  4. Chill in the fridge or serve immediately over ice.
  5. Garnish with lemon slices and a pickle spear if desired.

Notes

  • Use brine from classic dill pickles, not sweet or spicy varieties.
  • Add cucumber slices or fresh dill for a spa-style twist.
  • Substitute honey or agave for a refined sugar-free option.
  • Make it fizzy with sparkling water or club soda.
