Ingredients

  • 4 cups vanilla cake cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Chill a mixing bowl if possible, then whip the heavy cream to soft peaks and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Mix the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  4. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the pumpkin mixture to lighten it.
  5. In a clear trifle bowl, add a layer of vanilla cake cubes.
  6. Spoon a layer of pumpkin cream over the cake, then add a layer of whipped cream.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  8. Lightly dust the top with ground cinnamon.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Chilling overnight enhances flavor and texture.
  • Use cold cream for best whipping results.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing powdered sugar if desired.
