Description

Flaky salmon fillets topped with a rich, creamy dill sauce, served with roasted vegetables or rice for a comforting, flavor-packed meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Season salmon with salt and pepper. In a bowl, whisk together broth, heavy cream, and flour.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet and heat until shimmering.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Set aside.
  5. In the saucepan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Stir in the cream mixture and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  7. Add chopped dill and lemon juice. Stir to combine and season to taste.
  8. Pour sauce over salmon and serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • Use fresh dill for the best flavor.
  • Don’t add lemon juice too early to avoid curdling the cream.
  • Let salmon rest for a couple minutes before serving for juicier texture.
