Ingredients
Scale
- 2 teaspoons jasmine green tea leaves
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Ice cubes, as needed
Instructions
- Preheat your serving glass by rinsing with warm or cold water depending on serving style.
- Steep jasmine green tea leaves in hot water (175°F) for 3–5 minutes. Strain and let cool if serving iced.
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, sea salt, and sugar. Whip using a frother or whisk until soft peaks form.
- Pour cooled tea into a serving glass over ice if desired.
- Spoon the whipped sea salt foam over the top of the tea gently.
- Optional: garnish with a pinch of matcha or jasmine powder.
- Serve immediately and enjoy sipping through the foam.
Notes
- Do not overwhip the cream — soft, pourable consistency is best.
- Use high-quality jasmine tea for a more fragrant brew.
- The foam can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Try different teas like oolong or matcha for creative variations.
