Description

This Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea combines the floral notes of jasmine green tea with a creamy, lightly salted foam for a refreshing and elegant homemade drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons jasmine green tea leaves
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your serving glass by rinsing with warm or cold water depending on serving style.
  2. Steep jasmine green tea leaves in hot water (175°F) for 3–5 minutes. Strain and let cool if serving iced.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, sea salt, and sugar. Whip using a frother or whisk until soft peaks form.
  4. Pour cooled tea into a serving glass over ice if desired.
  5. Spoon the whipped sea salt foam over the top of the tea gently.
  6. Optional: garnish with a pinch of matcha or jasmine powder.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy sipping through the foam.

Notes

  • Do not overwhip the cream — soft, pourable consistency is best.
  • Use high-quality jasmine tea for a more fragrant brew.
  • The foam can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Try different teas like oolong or matcha for creative variations.
