Description

Soft and chewy S’mores Cookies with golden edges, gooey marshmallow centers, and rich melted chocolate, inspired by the classic campfire treat but baked right in your oven.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups marshmallows, cut into large pieces


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chunks and marshmallows gently.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers are soft.
  9. Let cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Slightly underbake the cookies for a softer center.
  • Chilling the dough for 20 minutes helps prevent spreading.
  • Add extra marshmallow pieces on top before baking for a gooier look.
