Description

This cozy Spiced Apple Tea blends fresh apples, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of lemon for a naturally sweet, caffeine-free infusion. It’s the perfect warm drink for chilly days and relaxing evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium fresh apples, sliced with peel
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 56 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise (optional)
  • 4 cups water
  • 12 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 black tea bag (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place sliced apples, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and water in a medium pot.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Do not boil.
  3. Simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes until apples are soft and aroma is strong.
  4. If using, add the tea bag during the last 2–3 minutes of simmering.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in honey or maple syrup and lemon juice.
  6. Strain into mugs and garnish with fresh apple slices or cinnamon sticks.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use sweet apples like Gala or Fuji for best flavor.
  • Don’t skip the lemon juice — it balances the sweetness.
  • Simmer gently to avoid bitterness from spices.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat as needed.
