- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 3 green cardamom pods
- 3 black peppercorns
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add water, tea bags, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, and ginger. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
- Remove from heat and strain the mixture into a clean pan or container.
- Stir in the milk, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract. Heat gently without boiling.
- Use a whisk or frother to foam the milk slightly.
- Pour into mugs, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and serve warm.
