Description

A warm and comforting spiced chai latte made with black tea, whole spices, and frothy milk. Perfect for cozy mornings or relaxing evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 3 green cardamom pods
  • 3 black peppercorns
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add water, tea bags, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, and ginger. Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the mixture into a clean pan or container.
  5. Stir in the milk, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract. Heat gently without boiling.
  6. Use a whisk or frother to foam the milk slightly.
  7. Pour into mugs, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and serve warm.
