Description

Tender, buttery biscuits filled with juicy fresh strawberries and drizzled with a tangy lemon glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Fold in strawberries.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, cream, and vanilla. Add to dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Turn dough onto floured surface, pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle, and cut into shapes.
  5. Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar and lemon juice to make glaze. Drizzle over warm biscuits.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for flakier texture.
  • Do not overmix the dough to keep biscuits tender.
  • Substitute buttermilk for a tangy flavor.
