Description

A refreshing strawberry iced latte made with real strawberries, creamy milk, and smooth espresso, layered beautifully for a cafe-style drink at home.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries: 1 cup, hulled and chopped
  • Granulated sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Water: 2 tablespoons
  • Milk: 1 cup, cold
  • Espresso or strong brewed coffee: 1 shot or 1/2 cup, cooled
  • Ice cubes: 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Add chopped strawberries, sugar, and water to a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and release their juices.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds and let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cooled strawberry syrup over the ice.
  6. Add the cold milk gently to create a layer.
  7. Slowly pour the cooled espresso or coffee over the milk.
  8. Stir lightly before drinking and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best natural sweetness.
  • Adjust the amount of syrup based on how sweet you like your drink.
  • Chill the coffee before using to keep the ice from melting too quickly.
