Description

Twix Cheesecake combines buttery shortbread crust, creamy caramel-infused cheesecake, gooey caramel topping, and a glossy chocolate ganache — all crowned with chopped Twix bars for a decadent, candy-bar inspired dessert.

Ingredients

  • Shortbread Cookies: 1½ cups, crushed – Base for the crust.
  • Unsalted Butter: 6 tablespoons, melted – Binds the crust.
  • Cream Cheese: 24 oz, softened – Main component of the cheesecake layer.
  • Granulated Sugar: 3/4 cup – Sweetens the filling.
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon – Enhances overall flavor.
  • Eggs: 3 large – Binds and sets the baked cheesecake (omit for no-bake version).
  • Caramel Sauce: 1/2 cup, plus extra for topping – Twix-inspired gooey layer.
  • Heavy Cream: 1/2 cup – Used for making the ganache topping.
  • Chocolate Chips: 1 cup – For the ganache topping.
  • Twix Bars: 4–5 bars, chopped – Mixed into filling and sprinkled on top.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a springform pan with parchment and grease the sides.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Mix crushed shortbread and melted butter. Press into pan for crust. Bake 8–10 minutes, then cool.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla, then eggs one at a time (if baking). Mix in caramel sauce and chopped Twix.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Pour filling onto the cooled crust. Smooth the top.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Bake 50–60 minutes or until just set. Cool gradually and chill 4–6 hours or overnight. (For no-bake, chill without baking.)
  6. Finishing Touches: Melt chocolate and cream to make ganache. Cool slightly, then pour over cheesecake. Drizzle with caramel and top with chopped Twix bars.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Slice with a warm knife and serve cold. Store leftovers covered in the fridge.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling.
  • Chill overnight for best texture and clean slicing.
  • Let ganache cool 10 minutes before pouring to prevent melting the filling.
  • No-bake option: Omit eggs, use whipped cream to stabilize filling.
