Description

This cozy Banana Bread Latte blends creamy milk, ripe bananas, warm spices, and rich espresso into a drinkable version of your favorite baked treat. It’s quick to make, naturally sweetened, and perfect for chilly mornings.

Ingredients

  • Espresso: 2 shots
  • Milk: 1 cup (any kind)
  • Mashed Banana: 1/3 cup (very ripe)
  • Brown Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla Extract: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg: A pinch
  • Caramelized Banana Slices: optional, for topping

Instructions

  1. Brew two shots of espresso or prepare a strong cup of coffee. Warm your milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a blender, combine mashed banana, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg with half of the warm milk. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended banana mixture into a small saucepan and heat gently until hot but not boiling.
  4. Pour the hot espresso into your mug. Add the warm banana mixture and stir well.
  5. Froth the remaining milk and spoon it over the latte for a foamy top.
  6. Top with caramelized banana slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

  • Use a ripe banana for better sweetness and blending.
  • Don’t overheat the banana mix to avoid texture changes.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor depth.
  • Try oat milk for a creamy, plant-based option.
