Ingredients
- Espresso: 2 shots
- Milk: 1 cup (any kind)
- Mashed Banana: 1/3 cup (very ripe)
- Brown Sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla Extract: 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg: A pinch
- Caramelized Banana Slices: optional, for topping
Instructions
- Brew two shots of espresso or prepare a strong cup of coffee. Warm your milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
- In a blender, combine mashed banana, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg with half of the warm milk. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended banana mixture into a small saucepan and heat gently until hot but not boiling.
- Pour the hot espresso into your mug. Add the warm banana mixture and stir well.
- Froth the remaining milk and spoon it over the latte for a foamy top.
- Top with caramelized banana slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
- Use a ripe banana for better sweetness and blending.
- Don’t overheat the banana mix to avoid texture changes.
- Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor depth.
- Try oat milk for a creamy, plant-based option.
