- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and whisk with sugar.
- Add eggs, mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour and salt until combined.
- Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes.
- Cool completely before slicing.
- Serve and enjoy.

- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
