- 6 garlic cloves thinly sliced

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter and add sliced garlic.
- Cook the garlic gently for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Stir in chili oil and red pepper flakes.
- Add the drained pasta directly into the skillet.
- Toss the pasta with the sauce while gradually adding reserved pasta water and parmesan cheese until glossy and silky.
- Add black pepper and chopped parsley, tossing gently to combine.
- Serve immediately with extra parmesan and chili oil if desired.
