Description
Crispy golden fries tossed in roasted garlic, fresh parsley, and melted parmesan — the perfect savory snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- Russet Potatoes: 3 large, peeled or scrubbed
- Olive Oil: 3 tablespoons
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced or grated
- Parmesan Cheese: ½ cup, finely grated
- Parsley: 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Black Pepper: ½ teaspoon
- Optional Red Pepper Flakes: ¼ teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or prepare your air fryer according to its instructions.
- Combine Ingredients: Peel (or scrub) and cut the potatoes into even sticks. Soak them in cold water for 20–30 minutes, then drain and pat dry thoroughly.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil your air fryer basket.
- Assemble the Dish: Toss the dried fries in olive oil, salt, pepper, and a small portion of garlic. Spread them in a single layer for even cooking.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake or air fry for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until deeply golden and crisp.
- Finishing Touches: While still hot, toss fries with the remaining garlic, parmesan, and parsley. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce — aioli, ranch, or even a squeeze of lemon.
Notes
- Soak potatoes before cooking to remove excess starch.
- Dry thoroughly for crispier fries.
- Use real block parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
- Add garlic after cooking if you’re worried about burning it.
