- 1 pound prepared pizza dough
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F and heat a pizza stone or baking pan inside the oven.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, diced onion, and garlic. Cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Roll pizza dough into a large circle and transfer to parchment paper or pizza pan.
- Spread mozzarella cheese evenly across the dough.
- Spoon the beef mixture over the cheese and add extra onions if desired.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Top with chopped cilantro and serve with warm consommé for dipping.

- Use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting.
- Do not overload the pizza with broth to keep the crust crispy.
- Warm the consommé separately before serving.
