Ingredients

  • 8 ounces halloumi cheese, sliced
  • 4 thick slices rustic bread
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest


Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and toast the bread slices until golden.
  2. Stir honey and red chili flakes together in a small bowl.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet.
  4. Cook halloumi slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  5. Arrange toasted bread on serving plates.
  6. Top each slice with warm halloumi pieces.
  7. Sprinkle feta cheese, fresh thyme, black pepper, and lemon zest over the toast.
  8. Drizzle generously with hot honey and serve immediately.
