Description

Soft chewy homemade bubble gum with classic candy flavor, fun pastel colors, and nostalgic sweetness made from simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup bubble gum base pellets
  • 1 cup powdered sugar plus extra for dusting
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon bubble gum flavoring
  • 1/4 teaspoon citric acid
  • A few drops pink or blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Lightly dust a sheet of parchment paper with powdered sugar.
  2. Place the gum base and corn syrup into a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave in short 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the bubble gum flavoring, citric acid, and food coloring until evenly combined.
  5. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until a soft dough begins to form.
  6. Transfer the mixture onto the powdered sugar-coated parchment paper.
  7. Knead gently while still warm until smooth and stretchy.
  8. Roll the gum into ropes or flatten slightly.
  9. Cut into small bite-sized pieces.
  10. Wrap individual pieces in wax paper and serve.

Notes

  • Dust hands lightly with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
  • Do not overheat the gum base.
  • Add flavoring gradually because candy oils can be strong.
  • Store wrapped gum pieces in an airtight container.
