- 4 large hoagie rolls, lightly toasted
- 6 ounces salami, chopped
- 6 ounces turkey slices, chopped
- 6 slices provolone cheese, chopped
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, shredded
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup banana peppers, sliced
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Lightly toast the hoagie rolls in a 375°F oven for 3 to 4 minutes.
- On a large cutting board, pile salami, turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and banana peppers together.
- Use a sharp knife to chop everything repeatedly until evenly mixed and finely chopped.
- Transfer the chopped mixture to a bowl.
- Toss with mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
- Let the filling rest for 5 minutes.
- Spoon the chopped filling generously into the toasted hoagie rolls.
- Slice sandwiches in half and serve immediately.

- Toast the bread lightly so it stays sturdy.
- Drain tomatoes slightly if they are very juicy.
- Store filling separately from bread if making ahead.
