- 1 cup smoked turkey strips, sliced thin
- 12 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened and browned.
- Stir in garlic and smoked turkey, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape the skillet gently.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is fully cooked.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Freshly grated parmesan melts more smoothly into the sauce.
- Do not overcrowd the skillet while browning chicken.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
- Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream to keep the sauce silky.
