Description

A sizzling combination of tender steak, juicy shrimp, and chewy noodles stir-fried in a savory garlic-ginger sauce. This dish is bursting with flavor, texture, and satisfaction—all in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Beef Sirloin or Flank Steak: 8 oz, thinly sliced – tender and flavorful protein base
  • Large Shrimp: 8 oz, peeled and deveined – brings sweetness and succulent texture
  • Soy Sauce: 3 tablespoons – adds salty umami depth
  • Oyster Sauce: 2 tablespoons – provides rich, slightly sweet flavor
  • Dark Soy Sauce: 1 tablespoon – adds color and robust taste
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced – aromatic and bold
  • Ginger: 1 tablespoon, grated – adds warmth and zing
  • Brown Sugar: 1 teaspoon – balances the saltiness with subtle sweetness
  • Cooked Egg Noodles or Lo Mein: 10 oz – chewy and perfect for soaking up sauce
  • Sesame Oil: 1 tablespoon – adds nutty depth
  • Vegetable Oil: 2 tablespoons – for high-heat cooking
  • Carrot: 1, julienned – brings crunch and color
  • Red Bell Pepper: ½, sliced – adds sweetness and vibrancy
  • Scallions: 2, sliced – bright and fresh finish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat your wok or large skillet over high heat until it just starts to smoke.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Divide half to marinate the steak and shrimp separately for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Add vegetable oil to the hot wok. Sear the steak slices in batches until browned. Remove and repeat with shrimp until pink and opaque. Set both aside.
  4. Assemble the Dish: In the same wok, add sesame oil and sauté carrots and bell peppers until just tender. Add cooked noodles and pour in remaining sauce. Toss well to coat.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Return steak and shrimp to the wok. Stir-fry everything together for 1–2 minutes, letting the noodles absorb the sauce.
  6. Finishing Touches: Toss in scallions, give one final flip, and remove from heat. Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate immediately while hot. Serve with chili oil or lime wedges for an extra kick.

Notes

  • Slice steak against the grain for extra tenderness.
  • Use chilled cooked noodles for best texture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the wok—cook in batches if needed.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, chili oil, or cilantro for extra flair.
