Creamy homemade vanilla bean ice cream rolls with rich vanilla flavor, delicate frozen curls, and a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 whole vanilla bean, seeds scraped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream (optional topping)


Instructions

  1. Place a metal freezing tray in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla bean seeds, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Pour a thin layer of the chilled mixture onto the frozen tray.
  5. Freeze for 2 to 3 minutes until solid.
  6. Use a flat scraper to roll the frozen sheet into curls.
  7. Transfer to a chilled serving dish and top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes
